A three-dimensional viscoelastic analysis of thermoplastic resin matrix composite laminates during hot stamping

Abstract In this paper, a three-dimensional thermo-viscoelastic constitutive equation is used to simulate and analyze the hot stamping process of thermoplastic resin matrix composites. Dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA) was measure relaxation behavior at different temperatures. Then, times weight factors were obtained by regression analysis data using genetic intelligent algorithm. According classical Maxwell model with N elements representative volume element (RVE), integral established, corresponding finite program incorporated into commercial software ABAQUS an UMAT subroutine.Thermal expansion also taken account in present model. The its paper verified experiments self-designed die for composites.In addition, simulation results compared actual failure areas further verify applicability adopted paper. indicate that ball edge hemispherical part easy be damaged.
